Birgit Roberts grew up across multiple countries before settling in California in 1985, shaping a lifelong appreciation for culture, design, and creative expression. She spent more than three decades working in the entertainment and music industry, where she developed a strong sense of discipline, aesthetics, and storytelling—skills that now inform her work in clay.

Her connection to ceramics began at age 13 during a pottery workshop that left a lasting impression, though it wasn’t until 2019 that she was able to fully return to the medium. Encouraged by a local potter in Ventura, Birgit began studying at the Ojai Pottery and Clay School, where she trained under the mentorship of Travis Kennedy.

In 2023, she opened her studio, BWare Studio, where she now dedicates herself fully to her practice. Birgit creates primarily functional ceramics, focusing on form, texture, and glaze as a way to elevate everyday objects. She spends hours each day at the wheel and in the studio, drawn to the physicality, precision, and endless possibility of the process.

Her work reflects a balance between intention and spontaneity—grounded in craftsmanship, yet open to discovery. For Birgit, pottery is both a discipline and a daily ritual, rooted in a deep passion for making.
